About RoboHero
RoboHero is a platform that helps you fight back against illegal robocalls and spam texts. We provide tools to document violations, build your case, and send professional demand letters to the companies that broke the law — all without needing a lawyer.
No. RoboHero is a technology platform. We help you document potential TCPA violations and generate demand letters, but we do not provide legal advice. For specific legal questions, we always recommend consulting with a licensed attorney.
Anyone who receives unwanted robocalls or spam texts — which is practically everyone. Whether you get a few a week or dozens a day, if those calls are illegal, you could be entitled to compensation. RoboHero makes it easy for everyday people to take action.
Call blockers prevent future calls. RoboHero helps you get paid for calls you have already received. Instead of just blocking a number and moving on, RoboHero turns illegal calls into documented TCPA claims that could be worth $500 to $1,500 each.
About the TCPA
The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) is a federal law that restricts telemarketing calls, auto-dialed calls, pre-recorded calls, text messages, and unsolicited faxes. Under the TCPA, you may be entitled to $500 per violation, or up to $1,500 per willful violation.
Under the TCPA, each illegal robocall, spam text, or unsolicited fax could entitle you to $500 in statutory damages. If the company violated the law knowingly or willfully, that amount increases to $1,500 per violation. Many people have multiple violations, so claims can add up quickly.
RoboHero supports tracking phone calls, text messages, faxes, and voicemails. Any unsolicited contact that may violate the TCPA, state telemarketing laws, or Do Not Call regulations can be documented in the platform.
Yes. The statute of limitations for TCPA claims is generally 4 years from the date of the violation. We recommend documenting violations as soon as possible while the details are fresh.
Absolutely. The violation occurs when the illegal call or text is made, regardless of whether you answered it. Voicemails, missed calls, and unread texts all count.
The Claims Process
No. You have the right to send a demand letter yourself. RoboHero helps you generate professional, legally-informed demand letters based on your documented violations. However, we always recommend consulting with a licensed attorney for specific legal advice.
When you upload a recording of a robocall or voicemail, our system automatically transcribes the audio to text and analyzes it for potential TCPA violations — such as pre-recorded messages, missing opt-out instructions, or calls made without prior express consent. This helps strengthen your case.
Yes. On paid plans, demand letters are professionally printed and sent via USPS First-Class Mail to the violating company. You receive tracking confirmation and a copy of the letter for your records.
The company typically has 30 days to respond. Many companies settle quickly because they know they violated the law. Some may negotiate a lower amount. If they do not respond, you have a documented case that can be used in small claims court.
Yes. If a company does not respond to your demand letter, you can file a claim in small claims court. Your RoboHero documentation — violations, evidence, and letters — serves as your case file. Small claims court is designed for individuals to represent themselves.
